-cap, capt, ceive, ceipt, cept

1. captivate: to influence and dominate by some special charm, art, or trait and with an irresistible appeal

Ex: The speaker captivated the audience.

2. susceptible: easily affected, influenced, or harmed by something

Ex: We are all susceptible to advertising.

3. intercept: to receive (a communication or signal directed elsewhere) usually secretly

Ex: intercept insurgent radio communications

4. perceive: to attain awareness or understanding of

Ex: He gradually perceived that his parents had been right.

5. captive:taken and held as or as if a prisoner of war

Ex: Nine Indians were taken captive.
